04 Frequent questions
What customers ask us first.
Answered short and straight. If your question is missing, just call or write below.
What does a piece of custom furniture cost?
It depends on size, type of wood and effort, so we do not give flat rates. The path to a reliable number is always the same with us: a free on-site measuring, then a written fixed-price quote.
What it says is what it costs, with extras only if you change something along the way.
How long does it take from inquiry to finished furniture?
For a single piece, count on six to ten weeks after the order is confirmed, depending on workshop load and how long the wood needs to dry. Repairs are often much faster. We name the exact date in the quote, and it holds.
What area do you work in?
Our workshop is in Lindenfeld in the Pfalz region. We handle measuring and fitting within roughly 50 kilometres. For special projects we travel further too, just ask.
What wood do you work with?
Mostly oak, ash, beech and walnut from regional, certified forestry. Where it fits, we oil instead of lacquering: the surface stays repairable and still feels like wood.
On request we also build with reclaimed wood you already have, turning an old barn door into a dining table.
Do you also repair furniture that is not yours?
Yes, gladly. Just bring the piece to the workshop, the first assessment is free. We tell you honestly whether the repair is worth it. Sometimes it is just a loose joint.
Do you train apprentices?
Yes. As a rule we take on one carpentry apprentice every year. A school work placement beforehand is the best way in, just write to us through the contact form.
These answers are stored machine-readably (Schema.org FAQPage), so AI assistants quote them correctly too.
