One yard, one family, four pairs of hands.
In 1987 Werner Lindner took over the workshop by the old sawmill, back then two workbenches and a leaky roof. Today his daughter Johanna runs the business. Werner is still in the workshop by seven almost every morning; he says the wood listens to him better there.
We have stayed small on purpose: four people, short paths, no mass production. Whoever calls us speaks with someone who later holds the plane too. And if something is not right for our workshop, we say so honestly, and point you to someone who can do it.
The workshop has been here for almost 40 years, and most of what it knows was never written down, it gets passed on, hand to hand. We work with classical tools as naturally as with modern machines, whichever the job calls for. And as a rule we train one carpentry apprentice every year, so that knowledge does not stop with us.
